Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)

Did you know nursery could receive extra funding to support your child's learning and development?

The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is additional funding provided by the government to early years settings like ours, aimed at improving outcomes for children who may need a little extra support.

Who is eligible?

Your child may be eligible if you receive certain benefits, such as:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Universal Credit (with a household income below a certain threshold)
  • Child Tax Credit (without Working Tax Credit)
  • Support under the Immigration and Asylum Act

Children who are looked after by the local authority, adopted, or under a special guardianship order may also qualify.

You can check your eligibility here

How is the funding used?

We use EYPP funding to provide additional resources, experiences, and support tailored to children’s individual needs. This might include:

  • Extra learning materials or books
  • Small group activities or one-to-one support
  • Enrichment experiences like music, movement, or storytelling sessions
  • Staff training to support specific learning goals
