*RVC – Regular Voluntary Contribution

We are committed to providing a high-quality, engaging, and well-resourced learning environment for every child. While government funding supports the core hours of childcare, it unfortunately does not cover many of the extras that enrich your child’s daily experience.

To help bridge this gap, we introduced a regular voluntary contribution (RVC) amount of 50p per morning or afternoon session and £1 for a full day from January 2025. This small contribution helps us continue offering the little extras that make a big difference in your child’s learning and enjoyment.

What Does the Charge Help Fund?

The RVC supports enhanced provision, enriching your child's experience with extras that everyday nursery operation doesn't include:

  • Extended creative materials for art, craft, and sensory/messy play (e.g. specialist paints, clay, slime-making kits, tie-dye)
  • Enrichment resources and learning tools (e.g. themed topic packs, STEM activity kits, musical instruments)
  • Outdoor exploration extras such as wet weather suits and seasonal gear for forest school and garden activities
  • Keepsakes and learning journey materials (e.g. celebration certificates, keepsakes & photos)

These items are all vital in helping us deliver a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. That is beyond the basic provision detailed in the Early Years Framework.

This contribution is automatically invoiced each month via Famly. If you do not wish to pay it, please notify us in writing nursery@mbk.cambrianlt.org
